Sunshine Coast Bridge Club
Welcome to Sunshine Coast Bridge Club.
Graded Pairs Congress: Our 2018 Graded Pairs congress attracted a full house with players from across the Coast and from Brisbane. We had 3 separate grades, and this is a popular format for players at all levels of experience. Winners of the A Grade (pictured, with club president Brian Cordiner middle) were Lyn and Jim Martin.
Many thanks to Peter and Steve as directors, Trish as caddy, kitchen staff and helpers for providing snacks and nibbles throughout the day, and convenor Ursula. [posted Sun 16-Sep-18]
Reg was also presented with a certificate awarding him honarary life membership of the Club, which was decided at last week's AGM. Pictured is him receiving the award from president Brian Cordiner. The award was made in recognition of Reg's contribution over many years not only to our Club but to bridge in Australia generally. [posted Sat 8-Sep-18]

Mary Murray's 100th Birthday: Club stalwart Mary Murray celebrated her 100th birthday this week, and on Tuesday morning the Club had a special morning tea in her honour. The 24 tables of players stopped for an extended morning tea while Mary cut the cake and gave a brief speech.
Channel 7 and WIN attended. Mary was interviewed during that time.
Mary and her partner Trish came second in their section on the day. [posted Mon 8-Jan-18]
