Beginners' Extension

Extend your bidding skills with this six-week course. This course will commence on Monday 15th April 2024.

Each session will begin with a lesson, followed by lots of supervised play. Recommended for beginners who have completed the Let's Learn Bridge course, and also for novices who wish to revise their bidding knowledge and develop greater confidence in club play.

• 1. Takeout doubles
• 2. Stayman
• 3. Strong 2C
• 4. Weak 2s
• 5. Slam bidding
• 6. Scoring and penalty doubles

Course run by Lisa Phillips. Cost: Members $6 per session, Non-members $10 per session.

New Improvers' Lesson: TRANSFERS

A complete guide to transfer bids after 1NT and 2NT, including:

• Transfers to majors and minors
• What comes next after partner accepts your transfer
• Transferring with two-suited hands
• Clarifying your hand and ending in the right contract
