Learn to play bridge at our friendly club!

Our next beginners' classes commence Monday, March 3rd, 2025, and run for six weeks on Monday mornings from 8.45am - 11.45 am.

Cost is $60 for the six weeks and includes morning tea and a lesson book.

Your teacher is Lisa Phillips, an experienced player and bridge director. Lisa's classes are fun, interactive and suitable for all ages.

Lisa is committed to ensuring students enjoy the lessons as much as she enjoys writing and teaching them. To this end, she has completely revised the beginners course, to make it as straightforward and easy to understand as possible. Here's what Lisa has to say about the new course:

"Bridge has a reputation for being a hard game to learn, and I do believe that many courses are unnecessarily complicated and try to teach too much, too soon. From my experience teaching beginners, and then supervising their play, I have come to understand which aspects of learning bridge cause the most trouble. With my revised beginners' course, I aim to take out all the needlessly confusing bits and give you enough knowledge to begin playing - and enjoying - bridge, almost straight away.

In just six weeks you'll have a solid foundation that you can continue to build on as you gain confidence and competence at the bridge table."
